ZESCO United will tomorrow face Kabwe Warriors in the MTN Super League week two rescheduled fixtures slated for the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu stadium, Kabwe.
Coach Numba Mumamba’s side will be hoping to bounce back from their last league match that ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of super league promoted side Kafue Celtic.
With much of his key players out during last weeks FIFA International break, Mumamba will be hoping for a much-improved performance from those that will be available for tomorrow’s encounter.
ZESCO United will be without, Simon Silwimba who is currently nursing an injury sustained during preparations for the Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifiers first leg match against Equatorial Guinea.
On the list of injuries, Silwimba has been joined by Green Buffaloes defender, Adrian Chama and veteran striker Winstone Kalengo.
Mumamba will also be missing the services of club shot stopper, Ian Otieno, Zimbabwean international midfielder, Thabani Kamusoko, and South Sudanese defender Peter Maker Manyang with the trio expected to return from international engagements this week.
The absence of Otieno between the sticks means that newly signed second choice goalkeeper Gregory Sanjase will most likely make his debut for the league champions deputized by third choice goalkeeper, Samson Banda.
At the back, Solomon Sakala, Clement Mwape, Samson Mkandawire, Fackson Kapumbu, John Chishimba will be expected to thwart Warriors attack.
The race for numbers in the middle of the park will be eye catching with Chanda Mukuka, Tafadzwa Rusike, John Ching’andu, Dickson Chapa, Samuel Sikaonga, Logic Ching’andu, Donashano Malama, Edward Lungu, spencer Sautu all salivating to start in this crucial away encounter.
One of ZESCO United’s failings in the recent defeat to Kafue Celtics was a lack of goals.
With almost a full week without action, ZESCO United fans will be expecting their side to be firing in all cylinders when the Ndola based league giants meet Kabwe Warriors.
Chitiya Mususu, Jesse Were, Enock Sakala will have the responsibility of ensuring that the visitors leave Kabwe smiling.
ZESCO United have thus far played three league games, won two and lost one.
