ZESCO United Head Coach Numba Mumamba has urged his side to put up a stellar performance when the league champions face Green Eagle in tomorrows MTN Super League week 10 fixture scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.
Speaking after this morning’s training session held at Trade Fair Grounds, Mumamba expects his charges to win tomorrows encounter.
“The team is ready for tomorrows battle against Eagles. There has been intense competition in training which is a good thing for us. Such competition is good for team selection. We are coming from a background where we drew two games. This is a game that we need to fight and collect three points,” he said.
Mumamba further expects his charges to lead from the front when the champions meet the Zambia National Service sponsored side.
“It is all about our attitude when we meet Green Eagles. We must go with a positive mind and ask the right questions. Remember that we are playing a determined side. They work as a unit.
To get a good result against Eagles will requires us to be at our best. We must be aggressive from the word go so that we show our intentions that we want to win the game.
We just need to make sure that the team we select to represent us tomorrow gives us the best results. We need to win tomorrows game so that we start moving up the ladder.”
ZESCO United will be aiming to collect maximum points when they meet Green Eagles in what is expected to be one of the crunching fixtures of the weekend.
