CONFIRMED: MUSAKANYA SEALS TWO-YEAR LOAN DEAL WITH ZESCO UNITED

ZESCO United Football Club is delighted to confirm the arrival of Bruce Musakanya from Red Arrows. The Zambian international attacking midfielder has signed a two-year contract subject to completing medicals.

ZESCO United Football Club Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale described Musakanya as an intelligent player who will make an instant impact at the club.

“It’s with profound excitement that we welcome Bruce Musakanya from Red Arrows. Musakanya has signed a two-year loan deal with us.

Bruce is an exciting talent, experienced, skilful, intelligent on and off the ball. He will add great quality to our team. We are excited that this deal has been concluded. It is our aim to comeback stronger next season,” Mutale said.

26-year-old Musakanya is among some of the finest attacking midfielders to grace the Zambian game in recent years.

The diminutive player is known for his dribbling skills, ability to provide assists and his knack to score goals at will.

Musakanya isn’t just respected for his exploits in the domestic game, the attacking midfielder has been a shining rod at international level the few times he has donned the Chipolopolo jersey.

He is expected to add great firepower to ZESCO United’s frontline as the eight-times Super League Champions embark on a journey to restore their pride.

“I am very excited to sign for a big club like ZESCO United Football Club. My aim is to work hard and help the team win the league and qualify for CAF next season.

It was unfortunate that the team didn’t qualify for continental football owing to the fact that the league ended prematurely due to COVID-19.”

Musakanya’s mission is to win a league title with ZESCO United, an opportunity that has eluded him for many years.

“It is my mission to win my first career league title with ZESCO United. This is a big opportunity for me. I will work hard to make everyone happy at the club.”
