Message from our Club CEO

I am delighted to be part of the ZESCO United Football Club and I wish to sincerely thank the sponsors, partners and the fans for the support that you have continued giving to the Club. My message to you is that, we will run the Club to the best of our abilities to ensure that we identify great talent, nature it and integrate this talent into the first team. Above all, we want to run a club whose members are disciplined both on the pitch and off.

To our fans, you are the reason we come out to play the beautiful game. We are aware of your emotional attachments and high expectations from the team. We promise you that you will continue to be a part of the success legacy. Our appeal to you is that be united and rally behind the team. We want to grow the fan base by creating a safe and conducive atmosphere full of fun at the stadium on match. We want to play a high scoring passing game that is attractive to watch. We try and connect and interact with our fans on all our social media platforms to encourage participation in the Clubs’ affairs.

To the Club sponsor- ZESCO Limited, our message is that the Club will strive to be ran based on best corporate governance principles of Accountability, Responsibility, Honest and Confidentiality. As a club, we believe that good corporate governance is essential if the club is to be managed effectively and to survive in difficult economic circumstances surrounding the football industry.

As a club, we will ensure that we are well complied with all the club licensing rules as outlined by the FIFA/ CAF/FAZ Club licensing system.

For our kit sponsor (Umbro), jersey sponsor (Atlasmara) and other partners, your association with the club is not in vein. You have made the best decision for your brand. We promise to be great ambassadors for your brand. We welcome the efforts that FAZ are engaged in to increase the sponsorship of the League. We invite other partners who would like to be associated with our brand to join us.

For the future trajectory of the club, we will be anchored on our strong desire to invest in our own infrastructure that can accommodate an ultra-modern office space, camping facilities, training grounds and conference facilities in 2018. In 2020, we would also like to begin the construction of a 25000 capacity stadium for use as our home ground. We are alive to the fact that Zambian football is steadily growing and as a Club we want to be part of this great football achievement that will improve the administration of football, the standards of football and quality of players.

Lastly I want to state that the club is heavily investing in youth football because we want to leave a lasting impression and experience for our youths and ourselves. The club wants to grow grass root football as this will create as many opportunities as possible for the youths and the club. As we embark on developing youth football we also want to encourage and help the youth get an education.
