ZESCO UNITED PRE-SEASON TAKES SHAPE

Last week, ZESCO United resumed their pre-season training ahead of the 2020/2021 FAZ/MTN Super League season.

Coach George Lwandamina officially welcomed the club’s new signings in Bruce Musakanya, Kelvin Kampamba and Lazarus Phiri.  It was also an opportunity for the trio to bond with their new teammates.

This was further an exciting experience for six graduates from the club’s developmental teams who had a chance to train for the first time with the senior team.

“This is a dream come true for us to train with players we are just used to seeing on TV. The first day was very exciting and tough. it’s clear that we need to work extra hard if we are to compete at this level.

This is what we wanted and an opportunity has been given to us. We will continue to work very hard,” discloses former Zesco Victoria Falls, attacking midfielder, Thomas Mubita.

ZESCO United are earmarked to shift base to Mongu, Western Province, where the team is scheduled to continue its pre-season preparations.
