Ndola, (Wednesday, 18th November, 2020)-ZESCO United Football Club management has expressed sadness at the passing on of ZESCO United Football Club Supporters Club member, Jessica Lumbeta.
Club Chief Executive Officer, Richard Mulenga has described the death of Lumbeta as a big loss to the game and the team.
Mulenga added that the club has lost a dedicated and passionate football follower who never shunned away from participating in some of the team’s developmental initiatives.
“It is with profound sadness that I learned of the tragic passing on of Jessica Lumbeta. Lumbeta’s passing comes at a significant moment when football fans have been sanctioned to watch super league matches from the comfort of their respective match venues. Lumbeta is one such voice that we will greatly miss not only this Saturday but also in the ensuing years to come.
On behalf of ZESCO United Football Club management, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the ZESCO United Football Club Supporters Club and most importantly, to the Lumbeta family, friends and loved ones. It is my hope that, in some way, our words of support may help bring some peace and solace in this time of sadness,” Mulenga said.
