Ndola, (Friday, 8th January, 2021)– Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) aspiring presidential candidate, Joseph Nkole has died.
Nkole died in the early hours of today at the Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, Lusaka.
Meanwhile, ZESCO United Football Club management has expressed sadness at the passing on of the former FAZ Committee Member.
Club, Chief Executive Officer, Richard Mulenga has described the death of Nkole as a big loss to the entire football fraternity.
Mulenga added that the nation has lost a man who had great passion for football and contributed immensely towards the development of the Zambian game.
“It is with profound sadness that I learned of the tragic passing on of Joseph Nkole. Nkole’s passing has left a huge void in our game. He will be remembered for having served the nation diligently as Referees Association of Zambia president and CAF match commissioner
On behalf of ZESCO United Football Club management, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Nkole family, friends and loved ones. It is my hope that, in some way, our words of support may help bring some peace and solace in this time of sadness,” Mulenga said.
