ZESCO UNITED OUT TO TAME RANGERS

Zambian FAZ/MTN Super League giants, ZESCO United will this afternoon clash against Forest Rangers in the FAZ/MTN week 19 fixture scheduled for Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

The famous Ndola derby will see two giants of Ndola town come face to face in another mouthwatering fixture which is never short of drama.

ZESCO United will be dying to inflict damage on their cross town adversaries following Forest Rangers 0-1 away victory against the former in the early stages of the league.

Forest Rangers have over the years found the spark that has turned them into one of the most revered sides in the league.

Their recent qualification to the CAF Champions League, secured their place among the top six best clubs in Zambia.

However, ZESCO United players will today have no respect for those credentials when the two sides meet eye-to-eye.

Having dominated the local league in the last two decades; bagging the Zambian league title 8 times, ZESCO United players will be out to show who deserves the right to govern the City of Ndola today.

Mumamba will unfortunately be missing the services of in-form Zimbabwean veteran midfielder, Thabani Kamusoko, who has been allowed to attend to family commitments.

The Zimbabwean has been a huge factor in ZESCO United’s recent victories against Buildcon and Power Dynamos scoring a goal in each encounter.

Bruce Musakanya is another remarkable player who will be out of this crucial encounter following an injury sustained at the 2021 CHAN held in Cameroon.
