MUMAMBA EYEING THREE POINTS AGAINST SCRUMPTIOUS BUFFALOES

FAZ/MTN Super League giants, ZESCO United will this Saturday face the Zambian army sponsored Green Buffaloes in the super league’s week 23 fixture scheduled for Sunset stadium, Lusaka.

ZESCO United head coach, Numba Mumamba has declared his charges ready for what promises to be an eventful afternoon for the league leaders and relegation threatened Green Buffaloes.

“I must say the boys are ready for this game. The morale in camp is very high. We will be playing a very big team that we have a lot respect for.

However, we need to go in with a positive mindset so that we could collect three points. Our aim is to win at least four games on the trot and secure twelve points,” Mumamba said

The Ndola based league giants travel to Lusaka without dependable defender, Adrian Chama who sustained a minor injury in training today.

“Chama is out with an injury which we expect to heal quickly while Chitiya Mususu and Bruce Musakanya have continued with their recovery. The two have shown great improvement. We are positive they will soon be back in the side,” he disclosed.

The ZESCO United gaffer has cautioned his players not to underrate Green Buffaloes despite their recent wave of poor results.

“We need to fight to collect maximum points on Saturday. Buffaloes may not be in a good a position today. However, they are a team that is unpredictable. They can be inconsistent in some games but when they are playing big teams they account for themselves very well.

It is important to get three points especially that Zanaco and Lusaka Dynamos will be clashing in a derby.”

ZESCO United take-on Green Buffaloes in an early kick-off (13:00) while Zanaco face Lusaka Dynamos later in the day(15:00) in the Lusaka derby slated for Sunset Stadium.

The former league champions so far lead the league table with 43 points having played 21 games while Green Buffaloes are dangerously trading in the relegation zone, having played 22 games accumulating 23 points in the process.

Second placed, Zanaco have 36points having played 21 games while Lusaka Dynamos have 34points having played 22 games.
