CAF APPOINTS KATONGO AHEAD OF NKANA AND PYRAMIDS CLASH

Desmond Katongo has been appointed Media Officer by the Confederation of African Football CAF (CAF) ahead of Wednesday’s crucial Confederation cup tie between Nkana Football Club and Pyramids Football Club of Egypt.

The ZESCO United Media Officer will be among the ten officials appointed by the CAF to manage the group D encounter to be staged on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

Zambia’s envoy in the CAF Confederation Cup Nkana currently sit on 3^rd position and share six points apiece with second placed Pyramids FC of Egypt having both played four games each.

Raja Casablanca of Morocco lead Group D with 12points from four games while Namungo have zero points from four games.

Victory against Pyramids FC will raise Nkana’s chances of qualifying to the quarter finals of the competition.

Nkana will conclude their Group D fixtures with a trip to Raja Casablanca on matchday six while Pyramids FC will host Namungo in Egypt.
