FAZ/MTN Super league leaders, ZESCO United will tomorrow face Prison Leopards at the Independence stadium in Kabwe.
ZESCO United are in fine form having reached the 2021 Absa Cup final after thrashing Konkola Blades 4-0 in a semi-final encounter played at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe last Saturday.
The former league champions have now won nine games consecutively in both the Super league and the league cup.
Coach Numba Mumamba is facing a possible league double in his debut season with the Ndola based league giants.
Mumamba will be more than happy to see his side cruise past Prison Leopards before the team continues its journey to Lusaka to search for the promised land.
ZESCO United players have been in fine form a feat that has seen them go past their opponents with great easy.
There will be massive competition on who starts ahead of tomorrows fixture. However, Mumamba is likely to be caught up in two worlds with his side facing Lusaka Dynamos in the Absa cup final on Saturday.
The gaffer will potentially be tempted to rest some of the key players for the weekends encounter.
This will be a great opportunity for players like David Molinga, Chitiya Mususu and others to prove that they deserve a ride to Lusaka and a potential place in the final squad that meets Lusaka Dynamos.
Club attacking midfielder, Bruce Musakanya will also be hoping to start in Kabwe after getting a taste of the action during ZESCO United’s triumph over Konkola Blades.
Prison Leopards will be hoping to be the first team to put a stop to ZESCO United’s recent form.
The Kabwe based super league side currently sit on 8th position with 33 points from 23 games.
On the other hand, ZESCO United will be hoping to further stretch their lead at the top of the table to 10points following second placed Zanaco Football Club’s defeat at the hands of Young Green Eagles.
The eight times league champions currently lead the league table with 46 points having played only 22 games.
