EAGLES HOLD ZESCO UNITED

ZESCO United yesterday failed to sail past Green Eagles when the two sides clashed yesterday in the FAZ/MTN week 29 rescheduled fixture held at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

Both the hosts and the visitors failed to find the back of the net in an encounter which saw ZESCO United waste numerous scoring opportunities.

ZESCO United’s front three which included Kalengo, Were and Kampamba could not convert their efforts beyond an in-form Eagles goalkeeper, Kenneth Mwaanga who was having a fruitful afternoon between the sticks.

The scoreless draw means that ZESCO United maintains their eleven-point gap at the top of the league table following Zanaco’s 1-all draw against Nkana.

ZESCO United will this Sunday host Young Green Eagles in another rescheduled fixture to be played at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.
