ZESCO United football club Developmental Sub-Committee Chairman John Chirwa has urged club developmental players to give their whole during the organized weeklong trials being held in Ndola.
Chirwa says ZESCO United remains the biggest club in Zambia which every young player dream of playing for.
He was speaking this morning when he welcomed 33 players who have been invited for trials.
“We are delighted to welcome you to ZESCO United football club. You have a life-time opportunity to prove to our technical bench that you have what it takes to play for this institution.
I can only urge you to work extra hard and believe that you can do it and join the class of John Chishimba, Enock Sakala and the rest. We can’t wait to watch each one of you in training.”
The trials which starts today will involve players 33 players from ZESCO Victoria Falls, ZESCO Mansa, ZESCO Malaite Rangers, ZESCO Mongu Shockers, ZESCO Solwezi and ZESCO United U19.
Last week, ZESCO United Chief Executive Officer, Richard Kabwe Mulenga said the club was committed towards giving developmental teams players an equal footing to graduate to the senior team.
“It is our policy that before we go in the transfer market, we give ourselves a chance to look at the players representing us in various developmental teams including the youth teams.
Remember, these developmental teams have been formulated to develop and nurture players with the objective of passing them on to ZESCO United football club,” he said.
