ZESCO UNITED SET UP BASE IN CHIPATA

Zambian Super League Champions, ZESCO United have today moved their base from Ndola to Chipata, Eastern Province as part of their pre-season preparations.

The team which left Ndola yesterday and later set up base in Lusaka arrived in Chipata today at 15hours.

ZESCO United have set up camp at Crystal Lodge and will conduct their intense pre-season preparations at Gonda Barracks.

Coach Numba Mumamba has carried a 35-member squad as he prepares for the league title defense and CAF Champions League campaign.

Mumamba has added two names to his squad with the arrival of enterprising winger Edward Lungu from Kitwe United and defensive midfielder Dickson Chapa who has joined the champions on a 1-year-loan move.

The ten day’s pre-season camp in Chipata will give the newcomers enough time to bond and adapt to the philosophy of their new home and coach.

ZESCO United are expected to shift base back to Ndola after 10 days ahead of what promises to be an exciting league season.
