ZESCO UNITED AIM TO REDUCE GAP AT THE HELM

2-days to go before ZESCO United faces Indeni in one of Ndola city’s fiercest local derbies.

ZESCO United will this Friday host Indeni in the MTN Super League week 21 fixtures scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

The league defending champions have recorded two consecutive victories and a loss since the opening of the second half of the league season.

Victory against Indeni will provide an opportunity for the hosts to move an inch closer to league leaders Red Arrows who will be in action on Saturday against third placed Green Buffaloes.

Red Arrows currently lead the league table with 39 points from 20 games while second placed ZESCO United occupy the second position with 34 points from 20 games.

With Green Buffaloes struggling to get consistent results, Coach Numba Mumamba will be hoping the Army sponsored team put breaks on Red Arrows who have had unparalleled victories in recent games.

Coach Numba Mumamba will be hoping to complete a double on Indeni following ZESCO United’s 2-0 victory in the first phase of the league.
