Ndola, (Thursday, 3rd February 2022)– ZESCO United Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Nkana Football Club goalkeeper, Moses Mapulanga.
ZESCO United acting Chief Executive Officer, Milupi Libi has described Mapulanga’s passing as a big loss to the Zambian game.
“It is with profound sadness that I learned of the tragic passing on of Moses Mapulanga. Mapulanga was a young, talented goalkeeper who served the game, his club and the nation with diligence both at domestic and international level.
“On behalf of ZESCO United Football Club management, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Mapulangas, friends and loved ones. It is my hope that, in some way, our words of support may help bring some peace and solace in this time of sadness,” Libi said.
According to a statement issued by Nkana Football Club this morning, Mapulanga died last night around 23:00hrs at Mazabuka General Hospital, in Mazabuka where he was admitted from Monday this week.
