MUMAMBA: I AM HAPPY THEY ARE ALL REGISTERED

ZESCO United Head Coach Numba Mumamba is simmering with confidence following the completion of player registrations for the newly acquired members his squad.

Collins Sikombe has been one of the high-profile players that ZESCO United coolly landed before the transfer window came to a grinding halt.

Sikombe, however will need to wait for Saturday’s game against Kansanshi Dynamos to make his debut for ZESCO United after recently finalizing paperwork.

“We have done very well in the transfer window. I am happy that we were able to get some players before the transfer window closed.

“I am particularly happy that our newly acquired players have finally been registered to play. This weekend presents the best opportunity for us to make use of the lads. I believe they will add great depth to the side,” Mumamba added.

Mumamba is particularly happy with the capture of Sikombe who he has described as a team utility player.

“Sikombe is a utility player. We can use him in different positions. Remember we have been laboring going forward. It is good and important for us to have a player like him in the team.”

Mumamba expects his new recruits to quickly adjust to life at the club and contribute to the success of the team.

“We let go of some good players. We have also brought in good quality players to fill the void left by those that have left. I believe we have the right players with the right energy and mindset to get us to the promised land.

“I expect everyone to adjust to life as soon as possible because we need the points to catch up with Red Arrows. We have the balance in the team with the additions we have made.”

ZESCO United will this Saturday face Kansanshi Dynamos in the MTN Super League week 23match to be played in Solwezi.

“We are playing a very tricky team. It is a team that I have respect for. They give in everything to disturb you. We must be at our best so that we can get three points. It is crucial to maintain this momentum and collect maximum points,” Mumamba concluded.
