SAKALA JR IN AFCON PROVISIONAL SQUAD

ZESCO United striker Enock Sakala has been called to the National Team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nationals qualifiers which kicks off this month.

Chipolopolo Head coach, Aijosa Asanovic has called for a 21-member local squad that will go into residential camp on May 17 ahead of the first Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Ivory Coast scheduled for June 3 to be played in that country.

Four (4) days later, Zambia will clash with Comoros in another mouthwatering encounter to be staged at the National Heroes Stadium, in Lusaka.

Others called from the ZESCO United squad are Gregory Sanjase, Kelvin Kampamba, Spencer Sautu and Shemmy Mayembe

19-year-old Sakala will be relishing the prospects making another giant leap in the game following his explosive start to life at ZESCO United which has thus far seen him contribute important goals to the team.
