CHIPOLOPOLO OFF TO ACCRA AS KAMPAMBA, SAUTU AND MAYEMBE MAKE FINAL CUT

The Zambia National Team has today left for Accra, Ghana where the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations Champions will set up base ahead of their opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Ivory Coast scheduled for June 3 in Yamoussoukro.

Chipolopolo Head Coach, Aijosa Asanovic has named a strong 25-man squad for the Group H opening encounter against the Elephants.

ZESCO United’s Kelvin Kampamba, Spencer Sautu, and Shemmy Mayembe are some of the local star players that will be expected to provide the much-needed experience in the team.

The Chipolopolo squad is expected to shift base from Accra, Ghana to Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast on June 1.

Zambia is in Group H alongside Ivory Coast, Comoros and Lesotho.
