Kenyan International goalkeeper, Ian Otieno expects ZESCO United to challenge for the 2022/23 MTN Zambian Super League title.
Otieno who recently extended his stay at the club believes the club has enough ammunition to get them to the promised land.
“We have done a massive job in bringing the eight new players. These are quality players who will add value to the team. However, it will be upon that individual who wears the badge to perform according to expectations. As a team we have a mission to do well in CAF and the league.”
Meanwhile Otieno says ZESCO United need to beat Prison Leopards before meeting Red Arrows.
“I think we have to beat Prison Leopards because this game will give us the momentum to face Red Arrows in a tough midweek encounter. We have to win regardless of anything.
“The team is ready, and everyone is looking sharp in training. It depends on the technical team to decide who plays and those who play should live up to the teams and supporters’ expectations,” he said.
ZESCO United will tomorrow face Prison Leopards in the MTN Super League week one fixture scheduled for the President stadium in Kabwe.
