ZESCO UNITED PARTWAYS WITH NUMBA

Ndola, (Sunday, 16th October 2022)– ZESCO United management and club head coach, Mumamba Numba have mutually agreed to separate with immediate effect.

Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Charles Kalala has thanked Numba for the services rendered to the club.

“ZESCO United Football Club management would like to thank Mumamba Numba for his services in the last two seasons which resulted into the team winning one league title and qualifying for the 2021/22 CAF Champions League and the 2022/23 CAF Confederations competitions respectively,” Kalala said.

Kalala added that the club has also mutually separated with 1st assistant coach Noel Mwandila.

Meanwhile ZESCO United management has further disclosed that the club will soon be announcing a new full-time head coach.

“The club will immediately begin the recruitment process for a new full-time head coach. In the interim, ZESCO United 2nd assistant coach, Alfred Lupiya will act as head coach,” he said.

Numba joined ZESCO United in 2020 after signing a 3-year contract which saw him guide the club to a ninth league title in his first season.
