UNITED SEEK REDEMPTION AFTER CONFEDERATIONS CUP ELIMINATION

ZESCO United will this afternoon face Napsa Stars in the MTN Super League, five days after a disappointing elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup.

Royal AM shattered ZESCO United’s dream of advancing to the third stage of the qualifying series after managing to secure a 1-1 draw at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, a result that saw the South Africans progress to the next stage of the competition.

ZESCO United will be led by acting head coach Alfred Lupiya after the club mutually separated with Mumamba Numba.

The Ndola based league giants will be hoping to collect maximum points after drawing their last two games against Green Eagles and Power Dynamos respectively.

Lupiya will also be yearning to see a more clinical ZESCO United side after laboring to find the back of the net in their last league encounters.

Napsa Stars on the other hand will be hoping to use home advantage when the two sides meet this afternoon at the National Heroes stadium.
