UNITED AIM TO BEAT MUZA AFTER CRASHING DYNAMOS

Zambian Super League giants, ZESCO United will be pumped up to claim two consecutive home victories when they face FC MUZA in the MTN Super League midweek fixture scheduled for tomorrow at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

ZESCO United beat Kansanshi Dynamos 3-1 in the MTN Super League week eight encounter played on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

The hosts came into Saturday’s fixture sulking from a midweek 2-1 defeat at the hands of Napsa Stars and CAF confederations Cup elimination by South African side Royal AM.

ZESCO United acting head coach Alfred Lupiya was salivating for his first victory after being placed in charge of the Ndola based league giants following the departure of former club coach Mumamba Numba.

Lupiya’s starting eleven was without the club’s star player, Kelvin Kampamba who was serving a two-match ban after receiving a straight red card in Wednesday’s game against Napsa Stars.

Kelvin Kapumbu was another star player missing in Lupiya’s eleven following an injury sustained in Wednesdays defeat.

Gregory Sanjase was given his second start of the season while Cyril Chibwe deputized the former young Green Eagles goalkeeper.

Jesse Were made a return to the Levy Mwanawasa stadium following his move to Kansanshi Dynamos.

With Napsa defeat still at the back of their minds, ZESCO United fans got another scare of their lives when Kansanshi Dynamos took an early lead through a Marvin Gere’s 4’ minute goal to silence the hosts.

Ugandan international attacking midfielder, Kizito Kezironi leveled matters in the 21’ minute.

Three minutes later, John Chingandu put ZESCO United ahead while Kenyan international striker, Vincent Oburu stretched the lead to 3-1 in the 45’ minute.

ZESCO United will yet again be hopful to use home advantage when they face FC MUZA in what is expected to be another entertaining fixture.

The Ndola based league giants who sit in ninth position with twelve points will be wary of the distance between themselves and first placed Red Arrows who currently have twenty points.

Victory against FC MUZA will give ZESCO United a lot of oomph ahead of Saturday’s mouthwatering match against George Lwandamina’s Kabwe Warriors to be played at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu stadium, Kabwe.
