Zambian super league giants ZESCO United will this afternoon take on Nkwazi a week after humbling Red Arrows 0-3 in a thrilling encounter played Nkoloma stadium.
This was George Lwandamina’s first win after guiding ZESCO United to a 1-all draw against Prison Leopards in his first game as head coach.
The ZESCO United’s squad has been bolstered by the return of midfield wizard, Lazarus Kambole.
Kambole who re-unites with Lwandamina has signed a six-months loan move from Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
Meanwhile ZESCO United first assistant coach Tenant Chilumba has tipped Kambole to shine at ZESCO United.
“Kambole comes with a lot of experience and will add value to the team. He has adapted very well as you know this is his home. The technical bench and the rest of the squad has welcomed him very well.
“I think he has what it takes to shine at ZESCO United like he did when he was here. I think the rest remains with him. The environment here is very good for him to succeed.”
And Chilumba says ZESCO United will not be carried away with last weeks 0-3 win over Red Arrows as they face Nkwazi.
“We have forgotten about the last win. For us this will also be like trying to win our first game. The focus is to get maximum points. The boys know what we need to do. The morale in in camp is high but we are not going to get overexcited because every game is different.”
ZESCO United will this afternoon take on Nkwazi in the MTN Super League week 20 fixture scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.
