UNITED HAVE 12 DAYS TO RECHARGE BEFORE NUMBA’S WARRIORS VISIT MWANAWASA

ZESCO United have registered back-to-back defeats for the first time since coach George Lwandamina took up the reins at the club following the departure of Mumamba Numba.

A 1-0 defeat FC MUZA was recently followed by another 1-0 loss at the hands Solwezi based Zambian Super League side Kansanshi Dynamos further frustrating the club’s hopes of finishing within the top four.

Prior to the two recent defeats, Lwandamina’s side went on a seven-match unbeaten run which was derailed by league newcomers and surprise package, FC MUZA.

With only eight matches to play before the season draws to a close, United are expected to respond fast and furious in the coming league engagements with the latest assignment being against Numba’s Kabwe Warriors side.

It’s an encounter that promises so much more for the two sides who will be eager to do the talking on the pitch for their coaches who swapped seats not too long ago.

Both United and Kabwe Warriors have had a mixed league campaign with the two giants of the Zambian game struggling to stamp authority on the league and consolidate their respectable positions on the table.

A twelve days break prowls for both teams to prepare adequately for a mouthwatering encounter which is expected to have both sets of supporters on their feet.

United will face Kabwe Warriors on March 18, 2023 at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.
