UNITED PUT SIX PAST BUILDCON

ZESCO United’s ambitions of sneaking into the top four of the MTN Super League table received another major boost following yesterdays 0-6 win over relegation bound Buildcon in a week 28 encounter played at Ndola’s Trade Fair grounds.

A 32’ minute goal from Collins Sikombe ensured that United were on the right track to a second consecutive league win after beating Kabwe Warriors 1-0 almost two-weeks ago.

Enock Sakala doubled the lead 10’ minutes into the second half while United hitman, Lazarus Kambole stretched the lead to 3-0 in the 56’ minute.

Kenyan international striker, Vincent Oburu extended the lead beyond Buildcons reach by scoring United’s fourth goal in the 82’ minute.

Sikombe bagged a brace in the 88’ minute before Songa Chipyoka completed the rout a minute later, condemning Buildcon to a 0-6 defeat.

Saturday’s win saw United move to ninth position with 40 points while second placed Green Buffaloes sits on 45 points.

United’s next game is at home to Zanaco in what is expected to be a mouthwatering fixture scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium on April 15.
