MKHONTA: WE ARE HIGHLY MOTIVATED FOR SATURDAY GAME

ESwatini international defender, Lindo Mkhonta says ZESCO United players are battle ready for Saturday’s game against Nkana.

With the league title already in Power Dynamos hands, the focus has now shifted towards who finishes second.

MUZA FC, ZECO United, Napsa Stars, Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles are all in contention for a CAF Confederations Cup slot.

Meanwhile, United like the rest of the teams play the last two games of the season with a mouthwatering fixture against Nkana on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium before concluding the league on 27 May 2023 against Forest Rangers.

“We are very motivated especially after beating Nchanga Rangers. Saturday’s game against Nkana is very key to us as such we are taking it very seriously. We not panicking or under pressure because these are games that keeps you motivated,” Mkhonta said.

And Mkhonta is delighted with his performance since joining the team in January.

“I am happy with what I have so far contributed to the team. When I came in January, we were sitting on 12^th position and now we have moved to third. It shows that we have made a lot of progress. United is a big team which should be playing CAF and that is still our dream.”

United face Nkana on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in another big test which will have ripple effects on the teams quest to finish second.
