GRANT GRANTS MKANDAWIRE FIRST NATIONAL TEAM CALL-UP

Chipolopolo Head Coach, Avram Grant has announced a 29-member squad ahead of the June 17, 2023 TotalEnergies Africa cup of Nations Group H encounter against Ivory Coast scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.

Grant who guided Zambia to two back-to-back victories over Lesotho in March will be determined to seal the Chipolopolo Boys qualification for next years Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile the Israeli born coach has included ZESCO United defender, Samson Mkandawire in his final squad which will face the Elephants next month.

Mkandawire who has developed into a dependable defender for United in the last three seasons will be donning the Chipolopolo colours for the first time.

Grant has further called ZESCO United attacking and defensive midfielders, Kelvin Kampamba and Kelvin Kapumba respectively.
