MUMAMBA DEMANDS VICTORY AHEAD OF KITWE UNITED CLASH

ZESCO United head coach, Numba Mumamba insists he expects nothing less than victory against Kitwe United in the FAZ/MTN Super League week seven fixture scheduled for Garden Park, Kitwe today.

Mumamba’s side have thus far played six games, lost two, drawn two, won two leaving the former league champions on 10th position with 8points.

ZESCO United could take a giant leap on the log table provided they beat the Kitwe based side this afternoon.

“This is a must win game for us because these are teams where we are expected to collect maximum points. We need to have the right attitude and the result will come our way.

We dropped two points against Buffaloes. This is a game where we can make amends by collecting three points so that we go on top,” Mumamba said.

Mumamba is also wary of the threat that maybe posed by the newly promoted, Kitwe based side.

“We expect a tough encounter. These are teams that play better when they face bigger teams like ZESCO United. They are naturally motivated.

This is the more reason we have emphasized to the team that there is no easy game for us. We have to give everything to get maximum points. We will try and make adjustments to the team so that we have enough energy in the side.”

ZESCO United have thus far been struggling upfront due to lack of goals from the clubs leading strikers.

“We have been working on our finishing because that’s the department where we are not doing well. The team is creating chances unfortunately our conversion rate is not good for a club like us.

We hope it will be a different story in Kitwe especially that we have been working hard towards finishing. Hope we can replicate what we have been doing.”

Kitwe United will this afternoon host ZESCO United in the FAZ/MTN Super League week seven encounter slated for Garden Park, Kitwe.
