ZESCO United football club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Mulenga has assured stakeholders that the club will make additions to the current squad during this transfer window.
Mulenga says the club will be heavily involved in the transfer market following the teams league triumph and qualification for 2021/22 CAF Champions League.
“Every transfer window is an opportunity for us to look at how best we can reinforce our squad. I know our supporters are anxiously waiting to hear about those who will be joining the team. We are working tirelessly to ensure that we beef up the squad before the start of the league campaign and CAF Champions League,” Mulenga said.
Meanwhile Mulenga says the club has thus far only released Kenyan International striker John Makwata.
“I wish to inform our stakeholders that ZESCO United has only released John Makwata from the current squad. Any announcements concerning player departures or signings will be released first by the club through its official communication channels. Anything released elsewhere should be considered as false.”
