ZESCO United football club is delighted to announce the signing of talented winger, Edward Lungu from Kitwe United.
Lungu signs a 2-year contract agreement with the FAZ/MTN Super League champions subject to completing medicals.
The nascent winger was one of the most exciting talents to emerge from last season’s league campaign catching the eye of National team coach, coach Milutin Sredojevic.
The 19-year-old winger can’t wait to don the ZESCO United jersey and contribute to the growth of the club.
“It is a dream come true to sign for ZESCO United. I want to work hard because fans expect a lot from me. I want to win the league and play CAF champions league football.
I know a lot of players from this club like Chingandu, Jesse Were and Kevin Kampamba. I am looking forward to learning a lot from these experienced players,” Lungu said.
And ZESCO United football club, Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale has expressed delight with the club’s decision to sign Lungu.
“We are very happy to have secured Lungu’s signature. He is one of the hottest talents on the market. We are positive he will make a good impact at the club. He will also have a good chance to grow at the club especially that we are also participating in the CAF Champions League.”
