THE STAGE IS SET FOR NDOLA DERBY

ZESCO United and Forest Rangers will tomorrow renew their bitter rivalry when the two sides clashes in the famous Ndola derby in the MTN Super League week 29 fixture scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

The two sides recently played to a 1-all draw when the league defending champions hosted their rivals at the same venue.

ZESCO United will go into tomorrows week 29 fixture hoping to close the gap on Red Arrows who will also be facing Nkwazi at the Edwin Imboela stadium in Lusaka.

The nine times league champions have arguably the biggest test compared to Arrows whose appetite for maximum points doesn’t seem to be waning.

Mumamba’s side has recorded back-to-back draws against Green Eagles and most recently against Prison Leopards.

A meeting between Forest Rangers and ZESCO United always promises sparks and tomorrows game is no different.

Mumamba has picked a 20-man squad which he will be expecting to launch a crucial charge towards the Fole Malembe Boys when the two teams meet.

Ian Otieno, and Gregory Sanjase will be expected to provide great cover between the sticks and ensure that Forest Rangers don’t see light at the end of the tunnel.

In defense, Solomon Sakala, John Chishimba, Clement Mwape, Samson Mkandawire, Shemmy Mayembe and Peter Maker Manyang will have the task of keeping the Rangers defenders at bay.

Donashano Malama, and Dickson Chapa will have the task of protecting ZESCO United’s attacking midfielders.

If there is any place where ZESCO United could be extremely dangerous is in the middle of the park.

Thabani Kamusoko, John Chingandu, Collins Sikombe, Spencer Sautu, Edward Lungu and Kelvin Kampamba can be a menace to any backline.

ZESCO United will be hoping to produce the product upfront from Pedro Miguel, Winston Kalengo, and young Enock Sakala.

ZESCO United currently sit in second position with 49 points from 28 games while Red Arrows occupy the top slot with 56 points from 28 games.

With the league almost coming to its conclusion, ZESCO United will be hoping to make sure that every game count.
