ZESCO United goalkeeper, Cyril Chibwe made a return in the side’s starting XI after spending almost two-months on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
Club Head Coach George Lwandamina gave the Zambian international goalkeeper his first test during Sundays 3-0 victory against Green Eagles.
Chibwe didn’t disappoint, making sure that his side didn’t just keep a clean sheet but also collected maximum points.
The South African born shot stopper made there starts for ZESCO United before sustaining a knee injury in November last year which kept him out of action.
Chibwe made a return to the squad in ZESCO United’s 1-1 draw against Lumwana Radiants but only as a second-choice goalkeeper to Gregory Sanjase.
With ZESCO United facing Power Dynamos on Saturday, Chibwe will be yearning to maintain his place in the starting eleven.
