NO JOY DESPITE NAPSA WIN

ZESCO United first assistant coach, Tenant Chilumba says the club will not get too carried away following Sunday’s week 24 MTN Super League 2-0 victory over highly competitive Napsa Stars.

United attacking midfielder Chanda Mukuka broke the deadlock in the 39’ minute before Collins Sikombe dashed the Pensioners hopes of getting an equalizer with a 91’ minute second goal which catapulted the nine times league champions from tenth to sixth position.

Chilumba believes Sunday’s win is an example of the work that the technical bench is doing at the club.

“We will not get overexcited with this win because we haven’t yet reached our full potential. It is an important victory for everyone, but we still think we can do much more. Napsa played a very good tactical game which wasn’t easy to breakdown. They flooded the midfield making life increasingly hard for our players.

“It is great to see the fitness levels of our players and their work ethics. This helped us a lot to find the goals.”

United will this Saturday face MUZA FC in Mazabuka in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.
