FAZ/MTN Super League champions, ZESCO United will tomorrow face Power Dynamos in what promises to be a clash of titans to be played in Kitwe at Arthur Davies stadium.
The Zambian Super League Champions will be up against a Dynamos side that has found some life under, the tutelage of Perry Mutapa jnr.
Power Dynamos however, have recorded some mixed results in their last three matches, losing 1-0 to Red Arrows and Lusaka Dynamos respectively.
They recently picked up their momentum which saw them convincingly thrash relegation threatened Kabwe Soccer Youth Academy 4-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Power Dynamos vs ZESCO United is billed to be an exciting game especially that both teams enjoy playing ‘tick-taka’ type of football.
ZESCO United will come into this encounter having beefed up its squad with three signings in Ian Otieno(Goalkeeper), Tafadzwa Rusike and more recently, John Mark Makwata.
It hasn’t taken too long for the three new signings to win the hearts and minds of some ZESCO United fans, more especially Makwata, who scored his debut goal against Mighty Mufulira Wanderers.
In goal, Otieno has already showed some flashes of his goalkeeping skills that forced the Zambian Super league champions to pen down a deal with the nascent shot stopper.
Rusike is a breath of fresh air in the middle of the park. The little genius has brought oomph and creativity in the midfield.
On the other hand, Power Dynamos have found some flair that has been missing since the 2019/2020 league season started.
A change in the technical staff, has brought great positivity in the team leading to some swash-buckling type of football.
Nkana were the first victims of Mutapa’s attacking type of football.
Mutampa will be hoping both Larry Bwalya and Dave Daka replicate their previous form which has been significant in the awakening of the Kitwe based giants.
Power Dynamos will tomorrow host 8-times league champions, ZESCO United at Arthur Davies stadium at 15:00. The game will be televised live on Super-Sport 9.
