ZESCO UNITED SADDENED BY SOLWEZI QUEENS ACCIDENT

Ndola, (Saturday, 3rd December 2022)– ZESCO United Football Club management is saddened by the death of four Solwezi Academy Queens players and a coach.

Club Chief Executive Officer Charles Kalala says the club wishes to express its deepest condolences to Solwezi Academy Queens management, and families to the deceased.

“It is with great sadness that we receive the news of the death of four players of Solwezi Academy Queens and an official.

“On behalf of ZESCO United Football Club management, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends and loved ones to the deceased. It is our hope that, in some way, our words of support may help to bring some peace and solace in this time of sadness.”

Solwezi Academy Queens were on their way to Mpika for a FAZ Women’s National League when their bus got involved in an accident.

The accident happened along the Great North Road (Mkushi-Mpika) around 04:00 hours when Solwezi Queens were on their way to play Mpika Doves in a FAZ women’s National League fixture.
