CHISALA PENALTY FRUSTRATE UNITED

ZESCO United yesterday suffered another frustrating defeat at the hands of Nkana in the MTN Super League week sixteen fixture played at Nkana stadium, Kitwe.

A 64’ minute Chisala penalty was all the hosts needed to shutter ZESCO United’s hopes of back to back wins after last week’s 3-1 victory over Nchanga Rangers.

Both Nkana and ZESCO United hardly created scoring opportunities to the frustrations of the home and travelling supporters.

However, the only difference of the game came in the 63’ minute when Nkana were awarded a penalty after Spencer Sautu was judged to have fouled Chisala who was racing into the ZESCO United penalty box.

The ever cool and calm Chisala dispatched his penalty with easy beating an outreached Ian Otieno.

In his post-match comments, ZESCO United acting Head Coach Alfred Lupiya expressed disappointment for the loss:” I am very disappointed with the outcome which was largely due to our failure to create goalscoring opportunities. They had one chance and scored from the penalty.

ZESCO United will this Saturday face Forest Rangers in the Ndola derby before the league heads into a two-weeks break.
