Ndola, (Thursday, 8th December 2022)– ZESCO United Football Club Management is delighted to announce the appointment of former Zambia National Team head coach Honour Janza as club Technical Director.
Janza who temporary managed the Tanzania National Team has signed a three-year contract with the Zambian Super League giants.
Announcing the appointment, club chairman Maxwell Saya said: “Janza is a highly qualified manager who has worked at the highest level of African football and comes with great credentials. We are positive his vast experience in the game will enhance football development at different levels of the club,” Saya said.
Janza was the last coach to qualify the Zambia National Team for the 2015 Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup of Nations, a feat that has eluded the country for the past three editions.
He also served as head coach of Tanzanian Premier League side Namungo FC from 2021 until his appointment as that country’s interim National Team Coach.
