UNITED PLAYERS AIM TO SHINE AS AFCON QUALIFIERS RESUME

All eyes will be on the Chipolopolo Boys as they resume their hunt for a place at the Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations when they take on Lesotho on Thursday at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

Former Chelsea Manager Avram Grant has assembled a strong squad which includes three players from nine times Zambian Super League champions, ZESCO United.

United Prolific striker, Lazarus Kambole will be in the race for a place in Grants starting eleven which includes Rangers FC striker Fashion Sakala and Leicester City talisman Patson Daka.

TeamYaziko defensive midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu is in firm position to claim a spot in the middle of the park ahead of this mouthwatering fixture.

Like Kapumbu, Kelvin Kampamba will be salivating for some action as Grant focuses on amassing three points against the Crocodiles who arrived in the country today at 1245 hours.

Meanwhile, United striker Enock Sakala, defender John Chishimba and goalkeeper Levison Banda will begin their quest to take Zambia to the U23 Africa Cup of Nations when the junior Chipolopolo Boys face Egypt tomorrow in the first leg of the last round of qualifiers.
