KAMBOLE, CHANDA AIM TO SHINE IN KUWAIT INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

Former ZESCO United Head Coach Mumamba Numba will this evening begin preparations for the 2023 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Cup as Zambia takes on Kuwait in an international friendly match scheduled for Cairo stadium, Egypt.

Numba who guided United to a ninth league title in the 2020/21 league season before switching loyalties to Kabwe Warriors has reunited with ZESCO United attacking midfielder, Chanda Mukuka.

Mukuka will be making his debut appearance at senior level after three splendid seasons at United which saw the midfield genius claim his first league title under Numba.

The 23-year-old’s task will be to raise his game at the international stage and impress upon Numba’s led technical bench when the 2022 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Cup Champions face Kuwait this evening and Morocco on Monday next week.

The other United player who will be salivating for a start is Lazarus Kambole who last donned the Zambian jersey in the 2018 Cosafa Senior Challenge finals.

Kambole has been working tirelessly to find his once explosive form that catapulted him to international stardom opening doors to a lucrative move from United to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The 29-year-old striker will be hopeful that his recent loan stint at ZESCO United which produced five goals for the Young Africans talisman is enough to convince Numba’s technical bench to entrust him with the responsibility of leading Chipolopolo’s striking force.
