CHICKEN EYE TWO SUCCESSIVE WINS

A 46’minute first half goal from Congolese striker Moise Lola was all ZESCO United needed to beat Napsa Stars, marking a good start to the 2023/24 MTN Super League campaign.

It is a start that United Head Coach George Lwandamina was yearning for particularly that it came away from home.

Lwandamina spearheaded United’s great comeback last season after accepting to take over the managerial seat with only five months to the end of the 2022/23 league campaign securing a third-place finish for TeamYaziko in the process.

A crucial win at Napsa will be followed by a mouthwatering Sunday afternoon encounter against Prison Leopards scheduled for the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.

Sunday’s match will be a tale of two teams who for the last three seasons have built a respectable rivalry each time they meet.

The two sides shared spoils last campaign with both home and away matches ending in a 1-all stalemates.

Unlike United, Prison Leopards have not had a feel of the new season after their opening fixture against Power Dynamos was rescheduled due to the laters involvement in the CAF Champions League.

The stage is set for United to collect maximum points when they face Prison Leopards tomorrow at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium, Ndola.
